Dandelion was born out of Euronet Worldwide's mission to make participation in the global economy easier, faster, and more secure.
In 2007, Euronet acquired Ria Money Transfer, a global payments company focused primarily on cash remittances but beginning to expand into digital account payouts. As payment needs evolved, Ria led the way by adding support for bank transfers and mobile wallets. That network, now known as Dandelion, has grown into a global infrastructure with 600,000+ cash locations and 7 billion accounts across 195+ countries, delivering 90% of payments in real-time.
In 2021, Euronet made this network—originally developed to power its own brands, Ria and Xe—available to the world as a wholesale payments solution.
